designing spaces for people and planet

what we do

Transformation & renovation

We see transformation and renovation as a possibility to achieve the same high quality of architectural & interior design solutions as in new build - but with significantly less impact on the environment. By renovating & transforming existing building structures, we extend their life cycle and reduce the need for new construction – which makes restoring and rethinking existing buildings, one of the most impactful ways to reduce the carbon footprint of the construction industry. Rethinking existing buildings, compared to building new m2 is not only about the impact on carbon emissions and minimising waste - it can also reduce budget and building period significantly.

INTERIOR DESIGN & space-planning

We design interiors with sustainability, functionality, and aesthetics in mind - tailored to user needs and organisational demands. Based on user centred analyses of building layout, optimal workflow and identity of the place, we create interior solutions that strengthen both social coherence, efficiency and branding. By reimagining, reorganising and optimising existing planning we can reduce the amount of necessary m2. From upcycled furniture to bespoke low-impact designs, we focus on comfort, quality and aesthetics - while reducing waste and making the most of available resources.

LOW-EMISSION & BIO-BASED

When new build is necessary, we focus on using building materials with minimal environmental impact, such as bio-based, reused and recycled products. Combined with energy- and resource efficient designs, flexible space design and design-for-disassembly, we ensure that new m2 are as efficient and low-impact as possible. We believe that aiming for low-emission and biobased materials goes hand in hand with architectural integrity, high quality and aesthetic value. New build structures are carefully integrated with surroundings, connecting interior functions with outside areas, making them a natural extension of the built m2.

our vision

“WE BELIEVE IN REIMAGINING WHAT’S ALREADY THERE. RENOVATING AND TRANSFORMING EXISTING SPACES IS NOT JUST A DESIGN CHOICE - IT’S A COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY.”

make an impact

Transforming, renovating and rethinking existing buildings is not only a better option for the planet than new construction – it can also be a cheaper and faster overall solution with savings on reduced need for groundwork, basic building construction and materials - and a quicker access to your updated m2 and new interior design.

RETHINK, REUSE, REDUCE

Studies show that renovating buildings significantly reduces carbon emissions compared to demolishing and building new. We focus on rethinking existing structures on site, as an answer to customers' need for more m2. By giving existing spaces new life, we minimise waste, reuse valuable materials, and reduce the overall environmental impact.
